Exciting Changes for Cadillac BIG Meet 2025!
Planning for the 2025 Cadillac BIG Meet is officially underway, and we’re thrilled to share that big changes are coming to make this gathering of Cadillac enthusiasts even more enjoyable!
What’s new? For the first time, the event will kick off on Thursday with a welcome day, followed by a Driving Tour on Friday, giving participants more opportunities to connect and show off their cars. The main Cadillac Meet will take place on Saturday, with activities continuing late into the evening, and we’ll wrap things up on Sunday with a laid-back Cars and Coffee event. This schedule gives everyone plenty of time to either enjoy a relaxed Sunday afternoon or head home at their own pace or even join the 2 day Driving Tour heading to the Cadillac Grand European Club Meeting in Munich.
As for the venue, we have some updates. Kremsegg Castle, where the event has been held for years, is unfortunately up for sale, so there’s uncertainty about whether we can use it in 2025. However, we have a fantastic alternative! The event will likely return to the Hofwiese Park in Kremsmünster, a beautiful location we successfully used in 2016.

Corona Virus Information and Rules

The measures to contain the coronavirus in Austria have been eased, but a number of special safety measures apply. The „3G rule" (short for German “geimpft, getestet, genesen – vaccinated, tested, recovered“ ) is used to define low-risk groups in epidemiological terms. The „Green Pass“ confirms that you are tested, vaccinated or have recovered from Covid 19. Everyone over 6 years of age must comply with the 3G rule. This means that you can only enter the venue of the Cadillac BIG Meet and take part in the driving tour if you fulfil the "3G" rules. Also registration at the entrance is mandatory! Digital certificates can be used. (on your Smartphone for example!)

The following rules apply if you have been vaccinated against Covid-19:

The first vaccination is valid under the 3G rule from the 22nd day for a maximum of three months, counted from the day of vaccination.
The second vaccination (booster shot) extends this period for further 270 days .
If the vaccine you received requires no booster shot (e.g. Johnson & Johnson), the first vaccination is valid for the 3G rule from the 22nd day after the vaccination for a total of nine months. Again, the nine months are counted from the day of vaccination.
If you have recovered from Covid-19 and received your first vaccination, you are in the 3G group for nine months from the day of vaccination.

If you have recovered from Covid-19, you do not have to test for the virus for six months from the end of the infection. You need your quarantine order or a medical certificate from your doctor to prove you have recovered from the infection. A positive test for antibodies neutralising the virus is valid for three months from the date of testing.

Tests remain valid for different periods of time:

PCR tests are valid for 72 hours from the time of taking the sample.
Antigen tests carried out by an authorised body are valid for 48 hours from the time of taking the sample.
Antigen self tests are valid for 24 hours in Upper Austria.

The Cadillac BIG Meet Organization Team met yesterday to discuss the situation about the 2021 meeting.
We came to the conclusion that we can go ahead with the meeting.
Covid restrictions will be eased in Austria in July for events. This makes it possible for the Cadillac BIG Meet to be held!

CADILLAC BIG MEET 2020 POSTPONED TO 2021

Due to the ongoing Covid19 crisis the Austrian government does not put out permits for all events until at least the end of August 2020. Therefore we are not allowed to have a Cadillac BIG Meet in 2020. We have postponed the event to 2021 and hope to see you all in good health in the August of 2021. Stay safe and healthy!

**The History**
Georg Pfeiffer is a Cadillac collector and he is also one of the founders of the Cadillac BIG Meet - Europes biggest Cadillac Meeting. In this short documentary he tells us how the meeting came to life and what we can expect from the 2020 edition of the Cadillac BIG Meet on August 29th.

Part 1

**The Cadillac BIG Meet Driving Tour.**
Christian and Christl Freudenthaler are Cadillac Collectors with a spectacular collection and they are part of the Cadillac BIG Meet organization team. They are responsible for the Driving Tour which will be held on August 28th - the day before the Cadillac BIG Meet. In this video you can find out more. The video is in German but there are subtitles available. More videos will be published each month.

**Judging the cars.**
Lucky is a Cadillac collector who restores all of his Cadillacs on his own. He is part of the Cadillac BIG Meet Organization Team where he is responsible for judging cars and awarding trophies to the best Cadillacs. CADILLAC BIG MEET 2018 - A GREAT EVENT

The Cadillac BIG Meet is Europes biggest Cadillac Meeting. Its held every second year and it draws visitors from all over the world into the old Austrian city of "Kremsmünster".

The theme this year was the "1967 - 1970 Eldorados" which we featured in a special exhibition at the venue.

Weather forecast for the weekend was catastrophic after one of the driest summers we ever had. This caused some cancellations of participants and we were pretty nervous that many more would cancel their attendance. On friday evening quite a few super nice cars had already arrived at the hotel.

The Driving Tour

At the Driving Tour on saturday August 25th 45 Cadillacs attended. We drove from Kremsmünster to Feldkirchen where we had lunch at a very nice restaurant at the shores of a small lake.

We then continued our tour to Linz where the cars were displayed underneath an art museum where the cars drew a lot of attention.

On the way back to Kremsmünster it started to rain heavily and it did not stop until sunday noon.

The Meeting on Sunday

Due to the bad weather we had far less Cadillacs in attendance this year. Lot of regular visitors stayed home as well.

There was still a great mood at the meeting with lots of spectacular Cadillacs attending.

Armin won Public Favorite and the 1951-1960 category with his 1953 Eldorado which he had been restoring to perfection during the last 12 years.

The Cadillac BIG Meet will return to its original venue in 2018. The park of the Kremsegg Castle was completely renovated from 2016 to 2017 and we can once again host Europes BIGGEST Cadillac Meeting at this lovely venue. The organization team is looking forward to your visit!

Driving Tour 2016

The 2016 Driving Tour on August 27th 2016 will go through the famous "Salzkammergut".
Starting in Kremsmünster at 9:30am at the Hotel Schicklberg, we will drive in a very long Cadillac convoy towards the lake "Traunsee" up to a small mountain which will reward us with breathtaking views down the lake into the Alps.
We will have lunch up there.
Later we will drive along the shores of the lake to our next destination on the "Attersee" - one of the largest lakes in Austria where we will have coffee.
We will then head back to Kremsmünster for dinner in the Hotel Schicklberg.
This years driving tour will be around 100 miles long.
Here are some pictures to give you an idea what you can expect in 2016. We shot the pictures during a test of the tour today.

New Venue for the 2016 Cadillac BIG Meet!

The 2016 Cadillac BIG Meet will be held at a new venue!
There will be some major construction work going on our old venue at the park of the Kremsegg Castle in 2016, therefore the park will not be available for the Cadillac BIG Meet. Luckily we found a new, even better location in Kremsmünster where the Meeting can take place. It´s a very nice park called "Hofwiese". It will give us some very nice opportunities to display our cars there.
We are looking forward to the new venue and hope to see you all in 2016.

Historic, scenic and beautiful Kremsmünster welcomes you!
For a whole decade now, the friendly little town of Kremsmünster has been the location for the Cadillac Big Meet. And for a handful of those years, we were able to proudly announce that the city of Kremsmünster is co-organizer of the Big Meet!
It is a fine moment when the iconoclastic cultural heritage as presented by Cadillac, the pinnacle of automotive and stylistic engineering in its day, is allowed to assimilate with the historic heritage as presented by Kremsmünster.

The pleasing castle grounds of Schloss Kremsegg remain the place to be for everyone admiring the Cadillac car - one area exclusively Cadillacs, the adjoining area for all USA and classic cars.
In regards to the show field, it is now the largest yet : plenty of space to park your Cadillac, as well as enjoy the other Cadillacs, allowing breathing space between the cars for photographing, filming, or just gazing at them in quiet admiration.

So it's clear that, if you have a Cadillac or are lusting after one, on August 24, 2014, Kremsmünster, Austria is the place to be.

Of course, we welcome all the fantastic Cadillacs of all other models as well, fully restored or all-original, old and new alike.

On Saturday August 23rd, the Kremsmünster event kicks off with a cruise through the scenic countryside. Please decide swiftly if you'd like to join in!
But the big day will be Sunday when Cadillacs meet in the Park of the Kremsegg Castle.
Important to note is that everybody is welcome, no pre-registrations necessary (except for the Saturday cruise of course). Just drive up to the castle gates and enter Cadillac Heaven!

The Big Meet is also free for visitors – good to know if your Cadillac is being restored, or if you still haven’t come across that dream car you’re lusting after… maybe you'll find it here?

Besides the general Cadillac meeting - each year we have a special theme for the Cadillac BIG Meet, where we display the according cars on a special part of the venue.
This year the spotlight is on “Cadillac Milestone Cars“ where we want to feature special models which were a milestone for Cadillac for various reasons, like styling, technical achievements or other important factors for Cadillac as a marque.

If you own one or more cars on the list below and want to participate in this years special show please let us know in advance so that we can plan this years exhibition accordingly.
We started the list with 1941 but if you have an older car which you think is a Cadillac Milestone as well - feel free to let us know!

Cadillac Beauties Never Die

Kremsmünster, Austria – In its 110 year history, Cadillac built more iconic vehicles than any of its competitors in the luxury car segment. This has once again been impressively demonstrated at the annual Cadillac Big Meet in Kremsmünster, Austria. Over 80 Cadillacs from the nineteen forties to the present day have been put on show and many of them were awarded with prices from a distinguished international jury. This year we would also like to invite Lincoln Owners to the Cadillac BIG Meet. We would like to do a special presentation on the venue with these fine cars. The motto is “Cadillac Meets Lincoln“.
Of course we will hand out a special award to the most beautiful Lincoln as well. To be able to organize this special presentation we would like to welcome as many Lincoln Owners as possible. If you want to participate with your Lincoln, please let us know in advance - so that we can arrange things on the venue.

Thanks to all participants the 2009 Cadillac BIG Meet was a huge success once again! 140 Cadillac made it to the show this year. As we celebrated the 59 Cadillacs 50th birthday, we managed to get 17 of them parked side by side. 9 of them were Eldorados, ranging from 6 Biarritzes and 2 Sevilles to the super rare Eldorado Brougham.
Some of the other highlights included a perfect 57 Eldorado Brougham and 2 1953 Eldorados and many other awesome Cadillacs.
Visitors came from Austria, Germany, Czech Republic, Hungary, Belgium, Sweden, Switzerland and Norway.

ORF Promotion shooting

Today the national Austrian TV station ORF shot a short event promotion report for the upcoming Cadillac BIG Meet on August 24th. We had some nice cars on the venue like a 57 and 59 Biarritz, a 76 Bicentenial, a 81 Biarritz Custom, a 58 Sedan, and my 67 Deville. The report will be aired on August 21st on ORF2 at 7 PM.
